Together, we work towards systemic change, improved policy, and stronger supports so that every survivor feels seen, heard and supported at every stage of their healing journey.

National Observatory on Violence against Women

Chaired by National Women’s Council (NWCI)

Beyond Surviving is proudly a committed member of The National Observatory on Violence Against Women which was established in 2002 and is chaired by NWCI. The Observatory is an independent network of grassroots and national organisations that come together quarterly to monitor progress on violence against women in Ireland. It provides an important space for organisations to work for improved policies and service provision for prevention and support of women victims of male violence. It raises visibility of the phenomenon of male violence against women, monitors government commitments at national and international level and provides relevant data. The Observatory links into the European Women’s Lobby (EWL) European Observatory on Violence against Women.

The Wheel

Active Member of The Wheel

Beyond Surviving is an active member of The Wheel, Ireland’s national association of charities, community groups and social enterprises. As a representative voice, The Wheel provides leadership to the charity and community sector and advocates on behalf of its growing community of members. As a supportive resource, they offer advice, training and other opportunities to people working or volunteering in the charity and community sector.

Beyond Surviving is an active member of Social Justice Ireland, an independent think tank and justice advocacy organisation that advances the lives of people and communities through providing independent social analysis and effective policy development to create a sustainable future for every member of society and for society as a whole.
