I can connect with people who truly understand

Beyond Surviving is needed as it is the first of its kind type of organisation. For years, support in a group capacity has been so limited and there are so few options, including a lack of peer support spaces. It’s different because it is far more validating than other services can be due to the validation and group support it provides. Sexual and domestic violence is such a lonely experience and it is only since connecting with Beyond Surviving does it feel like I can connect with people who truly understand my experience, in a safe way.
