Positive self-talk, some advice :)

Hey survivors!! Thought I’d share this little nugget of information with you as I found it pretty interesting 🙂 Instead of saying “I’m really anxious” or “I’m angry” “I’m sad”, I was told to say “I am feeling anxious, I am feeling really angry or I’m feeling sad” because we are not our emotions or our feelings. They come and pass through us usually within 90 seconds. So next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, try remember this. Feelings and emotions don’t define who we are. They are simply states of being that we experience from time to time. Honour them, accept them but remember, they won’t last forever. Negative feelings will pass, stay strong xx
